Cheshire Group Trophies
All
trophies are open to all Cheshire Group members regardless of membership status
and age (unless specifically stated in the criteria) provided that the rider or
a nominated representative has helped at one or more Cheshire Local or National
event in the given year. Additionally completing the help will earn the rider 32km distance on
their distance record for the season by adding this to the record card and marking
as H for help.
Trophies are awarded at the branch annual meeting for rides completed each season
In
respect of breed related trophies a horse may only be eligible for one trophy.

accruing the most EGB trophy points from Graded Endurance Rides and
Competitive Endurance Rides. Any Horse/Pony that has completed Rides in

Awarded to the Horse/Pony
accruing the most EGB trophy points from Graded Endurance Rides and
Competitive Endurance Rides. At least one ride must be in excess of 80km and
may include multi day classes. |

Awarded to the junior rider
(not exceeding 13 years of age in the current season) recording the highest
total distance from all types of Rides and with one or more horses/ponies. |

of ride volunteering is not included in the calculations for this award. |

Awarded to a pair of Cheshire Group
horse and rider combinations registered for the competition completing the
highest distance in EGB National or local Pleasure rides. Pairs must be registered by the
1st of June in the given season. At least one of these pleasure
rides must be a Cheshire Group ride. Associate and full members are
eligible. Pairs do not need to ride
together and distance is cumulative over the course of the season. |

Awarded to a pair of Cheshire
Group horse and rider combinations registered for the competition achieving
the highest trophy points at EGB National Competitive rides. Pairs must be registered by the
1st of June in the given season. At least one of the rides must
be a Cheshire Group ride. Pairs do not need to ride
together and distance is cumulative over the course of the season. |

Awarded to the horse and rider
combination successfully completing the longest CER in one day. In the event of a tie then the horse
and rider completing the distance in the fastest time will receive the
trophy. |

committee to the individual deemed to have made the biggest contribution to

ROLE OF HONOUR ·
Golden Horseshoe – 10 years ·
Platinum Horseshoe – 15 years ·
Titanium Horseshoe – 20 years |
Awarded to horses showing
exceptional longevity. Horse/pony must have been
ridden by a Cheshire Group member in the current season and have successfully
completed at least one ride of any type per year for 10, 15 or 20 years. Years in which the horse has
completed a ride need not be consecutive. |

Awarded to the Horse/Pony and
based upon distance accrued in all types of Rides and with one or more
riders. Accumulated distance is based
upon total distance submitted on Cheshire Group Event Log Forms including the
